Account Executive — Southfield, MI or Tucson, AZ

Do you have an interest in selling software technology that helps change the world? Would you like to help engineers make products and processes more durable and reliable?   

HBM Prenscia is currently seeking qualified and motivated applicants for the sales position of Account Executive. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for growing business of the entire range of the nCode brand fatigue and durability software products and services, and the ReliaSoft brand reliability and maintainability software products and services. Emphasis is on revenue growth within the Automotive domain territory through the ongoing strategic development of new accounts and expansion within the existing customer portfolio. This position will be based in either Southfield, Michigan or Tucson, Arizona.

What will you be doing           

  • Drive the present strategy for Automotive customers and market growth
  • Awareness and pursuit of opportunities for account growth and new business
  • Lead generation through marketing events, cold calling, etc.
  • Work with Marketing to produce, events, mailings, target marketing, etc.
  • Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in customer/prospect accounts
  • Develop calling and selling strategies for opportunities
  • Plan and execute customer visits
  • Coordinate involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources to meet objectives and customer/prospect expectations
  • Work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to provide technical support as needed throughout the sales process
  • Develop and present quotations and proposals
  • Utilize and document the sales process within
  • Generate, maintain and report a credible forecast for the domain accounts
  • Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer requirements on an ongoing basis

The above responsibilities will initially focus on ReliaSoft reliability analysis software products and will subsequently expand into nCode durability analysis products and related concepts.

What we need to see

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science degree preferred OR Business degree and/or DOMAIN industry experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the sales of engineering software systems to end-users
  • Proven ability to achieve assigned sales quotas
  • Highly developed and diversified communication skills and techniques
  • Some knowledge of nCode and/or ReliaSoft product operation and theoretical background preferred
  • Knowledge of fatigue, data acquisition, finite element analysis and/or reliability/maintainability analysis preferred
  • Understanding of customer’s engineering processes and corresponding software applications
  • High standard of professional integrity
  • Highly developed commercial awareness is essential
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-tasking
  • Willingness to travel domestically

Responsible for:

  •  Technically supporting the AP sales team.


  • To provide:
    • Pre-sales - technical presentations, demonstrations, and responses to technical issues.
    • Post-sales - technical aspects during follow up visits, responding to customer support calls.
    • Customer training - presentation of formal training courses.
    • Professional Services - specifying and performing engineering consultancy projects.

Position Responsibilities:

  • To demonstrate and present nCode products, services, and technology to current and prospective customers, in conjunction with HBM Prenscia's Account Managers.
  • To liaise with existing customers over their use of nCode products, to investigate problems and propose solutions.
  • To provide technical support to existing nCode customers.
  • To create presentation material - slide shows, technical papers, application notes.
  • To present the company's standard training course material and act as tutor during hands-on sessions.
  • Where customised solutions are required, either consultancy or tailored software, engineers should: help the customer to define their requirements, write clear specification of the work to be done, assist with producing project plans and costs, and in executing the project to successful and timely delivery.
  • Frequent travel required within India, occasional international travel as required.
  • To keep up to date with current industry practise and relevant technical developments.

Desirable Aptitudes and Experience:

  • Good communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal in English, Hindi would be an advantage.
  • A Master’s, or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering plus industry experience.
  • A background of working in engineering or manufacturing markets.
  • Working knowledge of industry-standard data analysis programs or test environments.
  • Good knowledge of CAE products and associated technologies, such as FEA analysis including Fatigue analysis.
  • Working knowledge of industry-standard data analysis programs or test environments.
  • A knowledge of Python would be an advantage.
  • Good team working skills with colleagues and customers.
  • High standard of professional integrity.

Internal Sales Executive — Chennai, India


Customer Support Engineer — Singapore

Would you like to work within sales and support customers worldwide?

We are currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Customer Support Engineer. As Customer Support Engineer you’ll need excellent problem-solving skills including good verbal and written skills to communicate our current and potential clients. You’ll be working with new, and existing customers: assisting with pre- and post-sales support. 

You will join a dedicated team in Singapore.


Specific tasks include (but are not limited to):

  • Provide technical support to customers with questions about ReliaSoft's reliability engineering software products 
  • Perform product presentations 
  • Utilizing and documenting the support given in SalesForce (working closely with Sales staff, Accounts and Purchasing)

What we need to see:

  • Fluent in English and Mandarin as the candidate will need to liaise with Chinese speaking clients
