Engineering Analyst — Southfield, MI or Starkville, MS

Prenscia Engineering Solutions is looking for a talented engineer with passion for solving problems by using engineering principles, data analysis, and computer programming.  The role is focused on improving durability, reliability, and availability of our customer assets (vehicles, aircrafts, machines etc.), delivering actionable information, and providing solutions to customer problems.  The analyst will use the nCode and ReliaSoft suite of products along with other tools to perform the analysis work. You will be joining an active, dynamic and growing team of experts and gain exposure with world class customers over multiple industries.


Primary responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Analysis of measured data (proving ground, field or test data) using mathematical and statistical methods primarily within GlyphWorks and ReliaSoft
  • Individually or collaboratively, perform analysis on data such as product usage, failures, maintenance, test, cost, etc. This includes combining data from multiple sources
  • Development of analysis scripts and algorithms as required
  • Generation of queries and reports within data management and data analysis tools, such as nCode Automation
  • Interpret data analysis results to draw conclusions and provide recommendations
  • Prepare written and oral reports/presentations for project deliverables and internal documentation
  • Work with Team members to respond to RFQ’s and prepare data for sales presentations
  • Other duties as needed


Professional qualifications

  • A Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience


Personal skills

  • US Citizens Only (REQUIREMENT)
  • Ability to qualify for DOD security clearance
  • Knowledge in engineering data analysis
  • Familiarity with nCode or ReliaSoft products or equivalent engineering analysis software
  • Solid understanding in computer programming fundamentals or computer engineering
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with others
  • Ability to learn and collaborate in a fast pace environment
  • Exceptional skills related to time management and decision making
  • Willingness to travel to support customer projects and implementations
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
